The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the sole HR professional in the organisation, providing both strategic leadership and hands-on support across all areas of HR.

This role is ideal for a confident, capable HR leader who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment. You will design and embed HR frameworks, support franchisees with recruitment and retention, and foster a positive culture that drives performance and employee engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Align HR initiatives with overall business strategy and goals.
• Partner with our external HR provider (Peninsula Group) to ensure compliance with NZ employment law.
• Drive excellence in recruitment, onboarding, and retention across clinics.
• Develop and implement performance management and employee development frameworks.
• Foster a culture of engagement, recognition, and wellbeing.
• Build leadership capability through coaching, training, and tools.
• Benchmark reward and recognition to ensure competitive offerings.

About You

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a HR generalist or management role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Proven success in leadership development, recruitment, and employee engagement.
• Solid understanding of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience in retail, beauty, healthcare, or customer-focused industries (preferred but not essential).
